Poem 7
Hallowed lay in shattered frameImagine what could carry weightDifferent paths taken an escapeFor reason spent to delayA dream of restful familar landsWhere senses measure in soulI had once felt this in a glanceWhat precious concept to holdSo much there'd be this goodIf I could venture in ways towardsYet kept by what here controlsAnd fear of pain always involvedIs it real or present to pursueWhen I have you in more waysAll that I engage in to produceAvoiding loss is a common faceYou strike me as more than thisThe life our love is to bringNever once I drift or sinBut do we meet in our passionsWhat I see now reminds me of itThat stranger and then themselvesCan I feel that presenceI would like to one day reconnectFurther in place than distanceBut felt of a gentle balanceI'd treasure all those momentsIf now they were to be beholdenTell me that you have too doneWhat I know as part of patienceSo when love is finally to comeYou will in course embrace itWriting in light of this new factI will turn to a new way of tactAnd be glad for this I haveYou'll know where is this thenLike how we spent those nightsAnd when no longer are apartWe'll become joined in our blightThen in it will be a start
