Takedown and Copyright Requests

Last updated: November 3, 2026.

We try hard to publish only our own writing or openly licensed sources, with credit. If you think something here uses your work without permission, or breaks a licence, tell us and we'll look at it.

How to report

Email hello@iinventedlight.com with the subject "Copyright" or "Takedown". This is our only contact for these requests right now.

Note: we have not registered a DMCA agent with the US Copyright Office yet. Until we do, outside contributions stay closed, and everything published here is written or reviewed by us. Contributions and our Terms of Use will open together once the agent is registered.

What to include

  1. Your name and how to reach you.
  2. The work you own (a link or a description).
  3. The exact page or note on our site (the URL, or the note's slug).
  4. Why you think it isn't allowed (for example: no licence, wrong licence, missing credit).
  5. A statement that the information is accurate and that you own the work or are allowed to act for the owner.
  6. Your signature (typing your full name is fine).

What we do

Licence mistakes and missing credit

Many problems are just a wrong licence or missing credit on a reference note. Report them the same way, and we'll fix them quickly. Every reference note lists its source URL, licence and attribution, so you can check.
