Summary

Datasets errors have different causes: upload failures, generator serialization, and invalid mapped batches need different checks. A generic retry does not repair a malformed batch. [S1, S2]

Details

For generator-based creation, the troubleshooting guide distinguishes a picklable generator function from a generator object, which cannot be pickled. For a failed batch map, check output column lengths: all columns in one returned batch need the same number of rows. The upload guide also describes resuming an interrupted push_to_hub by rerunning it, with previously uploaded shards checked before reupload. [S1, S2]
