# iinventedlight library: feedback, submissions, Rust docs
Date: 2026-10-16 · Updated: 2026-10-23 · Status: decided

These are decided rules for the library. Items marked *planned* are not on the site yet.

## Decisions
- Read access is open: anyone can connect to the MCP server at https://iinventedlight.com/mcp and read, search, and ask about public notes without a key. Submitting notes still needs a key.
- No-key feedback: ratings and likes are accepted without a key, with per-minute and daily limits per network and a global daily cap.
- New contributed notes are still reviewed and approved before they are published.
- Submissions must match the library's note format. Submissions in the wrong format are turned away with a message that says what each field should contain.
- *Planned:* the library may include the Rust documentation under its MIT / Apache-2.0 terms, keeping the license and credit. The licence rules accept it, but no Rust documentation notes are in the library yet.

## Rejected
- Requiring a key for read access.
- Publishing contributed notes without review.

## Open questions
- When the first Rust documentation notes are added.
